Join us for the tour, part two! Today, we take a look inside the Poage map room, the university archives, and the Texas Collection’s very own photo collection. Who knew there was so much to the Texas Collection?! Of course, this barely scratches the surface… Interested in the Texas Collection’s maps? – http://www.baylor.edu/lib/texas/index.php?id=868668 Interested in Baylor University’s archives? - http://www.baylor.edu/lib/texas/index.php?id=868666 Interested in the Texas Collection’s photos? – http://digitalcollections.baylor.edu/cdm/landingpage/collection/tx-photos The Texas Collection is a special collection library in the Baylor University Library System. A special collection library has a focused holding of materials on a particular subject—in this case, Texas. By committing to a single focus, a special collection library provides a deeper understanding of the subject. The Texas Collection’s holdings document the development of the Texas region from the earliest North American explorations to the present day. This video was directed, filmed, and edited by Megan Danner.
